Finally time to finish some art...

After a very intense two and a half years of working double and sometimes triple shifts, 6-7 days a week, I finally have some time to finish many of the projects I started before accepting this last design position.  First and foremost, since it was already about 90% complete I wanted to finish out this deer piece.

Last Apple of the Season
Oil Crayon & Acrylic on Paper

The original idea was to try to create a piece that depicted believable depth of field through a traditional medium.  It also allowed me my first opportunity to work with oil crayons and although I feel the final product was successful, I had to add small touches of acrylic paint for the fine detail.  Time will tell how well the touches of acrylic over the oil base will hold up.
